NEWS

‘relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief’.

This project was created to engage with current issues, to the explore the research and information you find and follow, to question its truth and to explore the creative and technical nature of self/publishing.

In this project I prepared, produced and collated a high quality complete series of visual research sketchbooks on a day-to-day basis, throughout my time in Amsterdam; adding information and observations generated through my experiences. Throughout this process I experimented with a wide range of materials and mediums within my sketchbooks. I altered the pages format and sizes and used a range of medium or materials  like e.g. Letraset, printing, drawing, photocopies, collage, low relief etc. The sketchbook includes evidence of museums and gallery study.

This project asks to consider the ways in which we adapt, interact and intervene with the environments cities impose on us. This project will encouraged me observe and record my surroundings. Working with experimental typography, layering and sequencing of images as well as the use of motion graphics through the use of Photoshop.
